A good question - I didn't know command line length was limiting
anyone. It still seems that --include-filelist and the like should
have different syntax than the shell commands: special characters
like ? and * might be inadvertently interpreted, and I think the
behavior might be generally less useful. After all, the output of
"find ." starts with "." (and doesn't stop there because they assume
recursion).
Perhaps new switches --[include|exclude]-globbing-filelist could
be added, or maybe a switch --command-line-list, where the content of
the file would be read as if it had been given as command line
arguments...
