a la rsync/cp/tar? i have a personal encrypted partition mounted under my home directory and would prefer the regular system backup not copying the files in it to an unencrypted backup disk. of course, in the mean time i can use --exclude, but i reckon there will be other use for -x. any votes? -- dave
